Pranburi 200 year market
This classic market has a proud, 200 year old history, dating back to the Ayudhaya period, when it was a social and business center for Thai and foreign merchants. As Pranburi developed, the once vibrant old market became less important. To revive the lively, hustle and bustle of the good old days, local leaders
and community members decided to organize a Saturday walking street in the old market area.
The market, 40 minutes from Hua Hin, provides an insight into Thai culture and tradition and a laid-back space for community members to offer authentic local wares. Community members are working to preserve old, wooden houses in the market area. You can enjoy the historic ambience, while browsing for souvenirs,
old books, and handicrafts, or tasting Thai desserts and traditional Thai tea and coffee.
