Hatsadin Elephant Foundation
Don't miss...
Here, you can admire and feed elephants, and enjoy a short ride of 30-60 minutes. There are also opportunities to volunteer, for example, bathing elephants, collecting food from the forest, erecting fences, or teaching English to the mahouts. A small museum provides guests with information on Thai history, Buddhism and local beliefs.
Green and good...
This non-profit refuge was established by 3 local businessmen to rescue domesticated elephants which had been abandoned by their owners due to ill health, old age or simply the inability to work. The center aims to give the elephants a healthy retirement, while stimulating love and respect for these gentle giants.
