Wat Huay Monkol Temple
Just off the main road to Pa La Uh waterfall, about 30 minutes from Hua Hin, stands Wat Huay Mongkol, with its striking, iconic image of the revered Buddhist monk, Luang Phor Tuad, which was commissioned by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, and stands over 10 metres tall. This busy temple attracts many Thai and
international visitors.
The temple is set in park grounds, with shady trees, pavilions, streams and ornamental waterfalls,making it a nice place for families, with easy
escape from the hot sun. You are requested to wear polite clothing (please do not wear beach wear, singlets and very short shorts) when visiting the temple.
